Blocks

Blocks are effectively reusable sketches - you can save a typical unit or floor plan and publish it for use in other projects. Blocks are found in the Assets tab of the left sidebar.

Creating a block

Any sketch can be saved as a block - it must be an unextruded sketch, and groups cannot be saved as blocks.

To create a block:
  1. Create the sketch you want to be a block. It can be a sketch with multiple areas; any assigned functions and area types are saved as part of the block.
  1. Right click on the block and select Add to block library from the menu

Importing a block

To add a block from the library to your scene, drag it in from the block library or right click on the block in the library and select Add to document in the menu.

Publishing a block

If you want to use a block in other projects it will need to be published. Once published, blocks are available in the library for all users on your domain (eg. users will @acme.co emails).

To publish a block, right click on the block in the block library and select Publish in the menu.

Deleting or renaming a block

To delete or rename a block, right click on the block in the block library and select Delete or Rename in the menu. Note that deleting a published block will cause it to be deleted from all users’ block libraries and cannot be undone.
