Blocks are effectively reusable sketches - you can save a typical unit or floor plan and publish it for use in other projects. Blocks are found in the
Assets
tab of the left sidebar.Creating a block
Any sketch can be saved as a block - it must be an unextruded sketch, and groups cannot be saved as blocks.
To create a block:
- Create the sketch you want to be a block. It can be a sketch with multiple areas; any assigned functions and area types are saved as part of the block.
- Right click on the block and select
Add to block library
from the menu

Importing a block
To add a block from the library to your scene, drag it in from the block library or right click on the block in the library and select
Add to document
in the menu.Publishing a block
If you want to use a block in other projects it will need to be published. Once published, blocks are available in the library for all users on your domain (eg. users will @acme.co emails).
To publish a block, right click on the block in the block library and select
Publish
in the menu.Deleting or renaming a block
To delete or rename a block, right click on the block in the block library and select
Delete
or Rename
in the menu. Note that deleting a published block will cause it to be deleted from all users’ block libraries and cannot be undone.
