Area Types

Area types are used for more granular metrics. Types like “1 Bedroom Unit” or “Corridor” can be assigned to sketches/buildings for the creation of area plans.

Creating an area type

Area types are parented by a building function. For example, you may have a “1 Bedroom Unit” area type within the Residential function.
 
To create an area type:
  1. Hover on the Building section of the Metrics sidebar and click the settings button that appears in the top right. This will open the Building Parameters menu.
  1. Hover on the building function you wish to add an area type to and click the settings button that appears beside the function name.
  1. Click the + button in the Area Types section of the Edit building function menu that appears.
  1. Change the name, unit size, and stalls per unit inputs as needed and click Save to create the area type.

Editing an area type

Hover on the area type you want to edit in the Area Types section of the Edit building function menu and click the settings button that appears. Make your edits - edits are saved automatically.
 

Changing area type color

To change an area type color, click on the color square beside the area type name and select a new color from the picker.
 

Deleting an area type

Hover on the area type you want to delete in the Area Types section of the Edit building function menu and click the settings button that appears. Click the Delete button in the menu that appears.
