The line and arc tools may be used to create custom sketches, but parametric elements like rectangle and circle can be helpful for quick editing.
Creating a rectangle
To create a rectangle:
- Click the rectangle button in the toolbar. If the rectangle tool is not currently active in the button, click the down arrow beside the button and select
Rectangle
from the dropdown. Alternatively you can use shortcut R
.
- Click to place the first corner of the rectangle, then click again to click again to complete one side of the rectangle
- Move your mouse to set the length of the other dimension for the rectangle, then click to complete creation.

Creating a circle
To create a circle:
- Click the circle button in the toolbar. If the circle tool is not currently active in the button, click the down arrow beside the button and select
Circle
from the dropdown. Alternatively you can use shortcut C
.
- Click anywhere in your project to place the center of the circle. You can click and drag to create a freeform circle → if you want to create a circle with a specific radius click without dragging and continue to step 3.
- Click anywhere on the same plane to place the radius end point and finish creating the circle.
When creating a circle, a radius input is shown between the center point and the radius end point. You can input a value → when the input has the value you want, press Enter
or click to finish creating the circle.
